Whats happening with FarmBis?
In the last couple of weeks many people have asked me “what’s happening with FarmBis?”
It saddens me to inform you (if you didn’t already know) that FarmBis is ending nationally.
This is the time line for Tasmania:
- Training providers have to submit group applications to the State FarmBis office by the end of this week; and
- All training has to be completed and finalised by the 31st of May 2008.
So if you are thinking about undertaking any training that you want FarmBis to subsidise you need to do it soon - otherwise you will have to pay full price out of your own pocket!
If you have any questions about FarmBis please feel free to contact me.
Time change for telecall
The telecall being held this Wendesday (26th March) now has a new time slot – instead of 7pm AEST it’s now 8pm AEST.
What would it mean to you if you could forget about what the market might (or might not) do next week? How powerful would that be?
This event will revolutionize the way you think about your enterprise - Click here to Register for free – your only cost is a phone call/internet connection!

We have just added a new page called ‘Links’ to our website.
There has always been a links section from our site but it was easy to miss if you were not familiar with the page. So that’s why we’ve dedicated a whole page, to make your visit easier and more pleasant.
If there is a site that you enjoy visiting/find particularly useful please let us know so we can share it – or if you have some further feedback on this website - drop us a line.

The Cattledog’s Revenge
I received this poem via an e-mail recently and I thought you might enjoy it!
If you’ve ever lived upon a farm,
You’ll know the feeling well -
How easy it can be to get
The visitors from hell.
Y’know those mongrels from the city
That invite themselves to stay,
Because they want a holiday,
Where they don’t have to pay.
Farmer Wants a Wife Series II
I’m sure many of you have heard but the “Farmer Wants a Wife” reality TV show is currently casting farmers for a second series.
Nine Network and FreemantleMedia Australia are searching nationally for real farmers aged between 25 and 50 who are looking to meet their one true love.
Bachelors must be working farmers, be it grazier, dairy, fruit, pig, chicken, fish, viticulturist etc.
Interested men should drop an email with an introduction to Nicola at McGregor Casting or call (02) 9557 2844 to register your interest.
Please feel free to pass this around - let’s help find our farm boys some luuurrrvvveee!

Diploma in Organic Farming
TAFE Hobart is offering a Diploma course in Organic Farming for the first time this year. It will run 3 days a week over 1.5 years.
To make the course viable they need 20 students to enrol – at last count they had 12. To allow those wanting to enrol that haven’t, TAFE have pushed the start date back to April.
If you require any further information about the course contact Mark Geeves on 1300 655 307
